Sanzi UFO Houses

I’ve encountered these images floating around on the ‘net several times in the past year but I was recently reminded of them when I ran across a post on NOTCOT.org.

Apparently the relics of a failed resort project in Taiwan, these pods appear to be constructed of fiberglass shells surrounding concrete and brick cores.  It is a real shame that this project didn’t make it, but on the other hand one has to wonder if the resort would have looked all-too kitschy.  There is something about the decay that endows these photos with real soul.
